School Begins
I am in Mrs. Childs' class this year. She does lots and lots of experiments. Like one time we dissected an orange. We tried to put it back together in flat pieces like a map. We showed how hard it was for a scientist to do that. And one time we dissected a canteloupe and then we got to eat it. My favorite book that I have read is Pirateology about pirates. It has a cool broken up map. I put it back together again. It was a picture of South Africa and x marks the spot.
I go to Paine Intermediate. The music teacher, Mr. Byars, is really cool because he played a rock song on the drums and he played his guitar. Today, we got to get our e-mail account in computer. PE is fun because we get to juggle scarfs and do crab push ups which are really really fun. The Library is where I checked out The Skull Alphabet Book by Ralph Masiello. There are little hidden faces everywhere in the book. I love school!

Exploring the USS Alabama, Fort Gaines, and more
We got to go inside a two headed gun. There was a 40 millimeter machine gun and a 20 millimeter machine gun. We got to see where they kept their shotguns. We climbed all the way to the top deck.
The was even a submarine. Tiny Ted thought he might get sick so he did not ride the flight simulator with us.
At Fort Gaines, Tiny Ted and Luke played in the cannons.
The ferry ride from Fort Gaines on Daulphin Island to Fort Morgan on Gulf Shores was awesome! It was the best ferry ride I have ever rode on.
